Mid January, 1999, NASA swapped launch slots of the STS-93 and STS-96 missions
(see STS-93), resulting in a one week delay to this mission from May 13. 2nd delay -
May 13 Shuttle Managers decided to rollback the Shuttle stack in order to conduct
further repairs to the hail-damaged external tank foam insulation. Approx. 35 divots were
discovered and required repair.
