Launch Info: Orbiter - Columbia 102-18 Pad 39B KSC (MLP-3) - Hold time of
3 minutes at T-5 minutes to reestablish command destruct radio link. First attempt -
Delayed from 28 September for one week due to ME#1 engine LH2 leak, prior to crew
ingress. Second attempt - A one day slip from 5 October due to Hurrican Opal. Third
attempt - A 24 hour scrub due to possibility of air in hydraulic system, prior to tanking.
Fourth attempt - On 7 October, launch was scrubbed at T-20 minutes due to MEC#1
failure in its B-core, rescheduled to mid-October. Fifth attempt - A one day postponement
was called for when a bore scope inspection of the MPS H.P. oxygen ducts was required
following an SSME failure at the Stennis Space Center. Sixth attempt - Scheduled
15 October scrubbed at T-5 minutes at 1:24 pm due to weather conditions. If launched
this would have been the longest hold in program history - 3 hours and 28 minutes.
Landed on runway 33, KSC/SLF. 26th KSC landing. Change to standard time during
flight - second occurance.

11 April 1995 ET-73 arrives on dock KSC
15 April 1995 OV-102 returns to OPF-2 from Palmdale, via Ellington Field, following scheduled OMDP, post STS-65 (Columbia left for Palmdale on 7 October 1994. Arriving 11 October via Huntsville, Ellington Field and Biggs AAF)
21 April 1995 OV-102 transferred from OPF-2 to OPF-3 to begin mission processing
10 July 1995 USML-2 payload installed into the orbiter while in the OPF
August 1995 ET-73/SRB mate in VAB High Bay-3
8 August 1995 Originally installed Engine 2039 was found to be unacdceptable for flight and was replaced with an engine for use on STS-74, Engine 2031. This flight was to have three new Block I engines.
21 August 1995 OV-102 rollover from the OPF to the VAB High Bay for stacking the same day
